Jeremiah 7:6

7:6 Stop oppressing foreigners who live in your land, children who have lost their fathers, and women who have lost their husbands. ¹  Stop killing innocent people ²  in this land. Stop paying allegiance to ³  other gods. That will only bring about your ruin. ⁴ 

Jeremiah 31:19

31:19 For after we turned away from you we repented.

After we came to our senses ⁵  we beat our breasts in sorrow. ⁶ 

We are ashamed and humiliated

because of the disgraceful things we did previously.’ ⁷ 

Jeremiah 46:26

46:26 I will hand them over to Nebuchadnezzar and his troops, who want to kill them. But later on, people will live in Egypt again as they did in former times. I, the Lord, affirm it!” ⁸
