1:14 Your wives, children and cattle may stay in the land that Moses assigned to you east of the Jordan River. But all you warriors must cross over armed for battle ahead of your brothers. ¹  You must help them

Joshua 2:10

2:10 For we heard how the Lord dried up the water of the Red Sea before you when you left Egypt and how you annihilated the two Amorite kings, Sihon and Og, on the other side of the Jordan. ² 

Joshua 7:11

7:11 Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenantal commandment! ³  They have taken some of the riches; ⁴  they have stolen them and deceitfully put them among their own possessions. ⁵ 

Joshua 8:22

8:22 At the same time the men who had taken the city came out to fight, and the men of Ai were trapped in the middle. ⁶  The Israelites struck them down, leaving no survivors or refugees.

Joshua 10:25

10:25 Then Joshua said to them, “Don’t be afraid and don’t panic! ⁷  Be strong and brave, for the Lord will do the same thing to all your enemies you fight.

Joshua 10:28

Joshua Launches a Southern Campaign

10:28 That day Joshua captured Makkedah and put the sword to it and its king. He annihilated everyone who lived in it; he left no survivors. He did to its king what he had done to the king of Jericho. ⁸ 

Joshua 11:12

11:12 Joshua captured all these royal cities and all their kings and annihilated them with the sword, ⁹  as Moses the Lord’s servant had commanded.

Joshua 11:14

11:14 The Israelites plundered all the goods of these cities and the cattle, but they totally destroyed all the people ¹⁰  and allowed no one who breathed to live.

Judah’s Tribal Lands

14:1 The following is a record of the territory assigned to the Israelites in the land of Canaan by Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the Israelite tribal leaders. ¹¹ 

Joshua 22:32

22:32 Phinehas, son of Eleazar, the priest, and the leaders left the Reubenites and Gadites in the land of Gilead and reported back to the Israelites in the land of Canaan. ¹² 

Joshua 24:11

24:11 You crossed the Jordan and came to Jericho. ¹³  The leaders ¹⁴  of Jericho, as well as the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites, and Jebusites, fought with you, but I handed them over to you.
