Joshua 1:5

1:5 No one will be able to resist you all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.

Joshua 8:17

8:17 No men were left in Ai or Bethel; they all went out after Israel. They left the city wide open and chased Israel.

Joshua 22:3

22:3 You have not abandoned your fellow Israelites this entire time, right up to this very day. You have completed the task given you by the Lord your God.

Joshua 24:20

24:20 If you abandon the Lord and worship foreign gods, he will turn against you; he will bring disaster on you and destroy you, 10  though he once treated you well.” 11 


tn Heb “A man will not stand before you.” The second person pronouns in this verse are singular, indicating Joshua is the addressee.
