Joshua 1:5

1:5 No one will be able to resist you 1  all the days of your life. As I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not abandon you or leave you alone.

Joshua 9:12

9:12 This bread of ours was warm when we packed it in our homes the day we started out to meet you, 2  but now it is dry and hard. 3 

1 tn Heb “A man will not stand before you.” The second person pronouns in this verse are singular, indicating Joshua is the addressee.

2 tn Heb “in the day we went out to come to you.”
