1:6 Be strong and brave! You must lead these people in the conquest of this land that I solemnly promised their ancestors I would hand over to them. ¹ 

Joshua 17:6

17:6 for the daughters of Manasseh were assigned land among his sons. The land of Gilead belonged to the rest of the descendants of Manasseh.

19:49 When they finished dividing the land into its regions, the Israelites gave Joshua son of Nun some land. ²
