Joshua 11:21

11:21 At that time Joshua attacked and eliminated the Anakites from the hill country 1  – from Hebron, Debir, Anab, and all the hill country of Judah and Israel. 2  Joshua annihilated them and their cities.

Joshua 14:12

14:12 Now, assign me this hill country which the Lord promised me at that time! No doubt you heard at that time that the Anakites live there in large, fortified cities. 3  But, assuming the Lord is with me, I will conquer 4  them, as the Lord promised.”
