Joshua 12:1

12:1 Now these are the kings of the land whom the Israelites defeated and drove from their land ¹  on the east side of the Jordan, ²  from the Arnon Valley to Mount Hermon, including all the eastern Arabah:

19:47 (The Danites failed to conquer their territory, ³  so they went up and fought with Leshem and captured it. They put the sword to it, took possession of it, and lived in it. They renamed it ⁴  Dan after their ancestor. ⁵ )

² tn Heb “beyond the Jordan, toward the rising of the sun.”

³ tn Heb “the territory of the sons of Dan went out from them.”
