Joshua 2:22

2:22 They went to the hill country and stayed there for three days, long enough for those chasing them to return. Their pursuers looked all along the way but did not find them.

Joshua 9:13

9:13 These wineskins we filled were brand new, but look how they have ripped. Our clothes and sandals have worn out because it has been a very long journey.”

3:4 But stay about three thousand feet behind it. Keep your distance so you can see which way you should go, for you have not traveled this way before.”

tn Heb “they went and came.”

tn Heb “the pursuers.” The object (“them”) is added for clarification.

tn Heb “the ones chasing them.” This has been rendered as “their pursuers” in the translation to avoid redundancy with the preceding clause.

tn Heb “The pursuers looked in all the way and did not find [them].”

tn Heb “But there should be a distance between you and it, about two thousand cubits in measurement.”

tn Heb “do not approach it.”

tn Heb “know.”

tn Heb “of the house of slavery.”

10 tn Heb “for the Lord our God, he is the one who brought up us and our fathers from the land of Egypt, from the house of slaves.”

11 tn Or “great signs.”

12 tn Heb “and he guarded us in all the way in which we walked and among all the peoples through whose midst we passed.”
