Leviticus 16:6

16:6 Then Aaron is to present the sin offering bull which is for himself and is to make atonement on behalf of himself and his household.

Leviticus 16:16

16:16 So ¹  he is to make atonement for the holy place from the impurities of the Israelites and from their transgressions with regard to all their sins, ²  and thus he is to do for the Meeting Tent which resides with them in the midst of their impurities.

Leviticus 16:18-19

16:18 “Then ³  he is to go out to the altar which is before the Lord and make atonement for it. He is to take ⁴  some of the blood of the bull and some of the blood of the goat, and put it all around on the horns of the altar. 16:19 Then he is to sprinkle on it some of the blood with his finger seven times, and cleanse and consecrate it ⁵  from the impurities of the Israelites.

Leviticus 16:24

16:24 Then he must bathe his body in water in a holy place, put on his clothes, and go out and make his burnt offering and the people’s burnt offering. So he is to make atonement ⁶  on behalf of himself and the people. ⁷ 

Exodus 20:25-26

20:25 If you make me an altar of stone, you must not build it ⁸  of stones shaped with tools, ⁹  for if you use your tool on it you have defiled it. ¹⁰  20:26 And you must not go up by steps to my altar, so that your nakedness is not exposed.’ ¹¹

¹⁰ tn The verb is a preterite with vav (ו) consecutive. It forms the apodosis in a conditional clause: “if you lift up your tool on it…you have defiled it.”
