7:6 Any male among the priests may eat it. It must be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy. ¹ 

Leviticus 11:45

11:45 for I am the Lord who brought you up from the land of Egypt to be your God, ²  and you are to be holy because I am holy.

Leviticus 16:24

16:24 Then he must bathe his body in water in a holy place, put on his clothes, and go out and make his burnt offering and the people’s burnt offering. So he is to make atonement ⁴  on behalf of himself and the people. ⁵

² tn Heb “to be to you for a God.”

³ tn The three previous second person references in this verse are all singular, but this reference is plural. By adding “all” this grammatical distinction is preserved in the translation.

⁴ tn Heb “And he shall make atonement.”

⁵ tn Heb “on behalf of himself and on behalf of the people.” After “on behalf of himself” the LXX adds the expected “and on behalf of his household” (cf. vv. 6, 11, and 17).
