Mark 14:30-31

14:30 Jesus said to him, “I tell you the truth, ¹  today – this very night – before a rooster crows twice, you will deny me three times.” 14:31 But Peter ²  insisted emphatically, ³  “Even if I must die with you, I will never deny you.” And all of them said the same thing.

Luke 22:34

22:34 Jesus replied, ⁴  “I tell you, Peter, the rooster will not crow ⁵  today until you have denied ⁶  three times that you know me.”

John 13:38

13:38 Jesus answered, “Will you lay down your life for me? ⁷  I tell you the solemn truth, ⁸  the rooster will not crow until you have denied me three times!
