Nehemiah 2:16-17

2:16 The officials did not know where I had gone or what I had been doing, for up to this point I had not told any of the Jews or the priests or the nobles or the officials or the rest of the workers. 2:17 Then I said to them, “You see the problem that we have: Jerusalem is desolate and its gates are burned. Come on! Let’s rebuild the wall of Jerusalem so that this reproach will not continue.”

Nehemiah 8:10

8:10 He said to them, “Go and eat delicacies and drink sweet drinks and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared. For this day is holy to our Lord. ¹  Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.”

Nehemiah 9:19

9:19 “Due to your great compassion you did not abandon them in the desert. The pillar of cloud did not stop guiding them in the path by day, ²  nor did the pillar of fire stop illuminating for them by night the path on which they should travel.

Nehemiah 10:29

10:29 hereby participate with their colleagues the town leaders ³  and enter into a curse and an oath ⁴  to adhere to ⁵  the law of God which was given through Moses the servant of God, and to obey ⁶  carefully all the commandments of the LORD our Lord, ⁷  along with his ordinances and his statutes.
