1:30 since you are encountering ¹  the same conflict that you saw me face and now hear that I am facing. ² 

Philippians 2:8

2:8 He humbled himself,

by becoming obedient to the point of death

– even death on a cross!

¹ tn Grk “having,” most likely as an instrumental participle. Thus their present struggle is evidence that they have received the gift of suffering.

² tn Grk “that you saw in me and now hear [to be] in me.”
