tn Heb “sit” (i.e., sit enthroned, see Ps 9:7). The imperfect verbal form highlights the generalization.

tn Heb “and your remembrance [is] for a generation and a generation.”

tn Heb “[is] his memorial name” (so ASV); TEV “the name by which he is to be worshipped.”

tn Heb “walk each in the name of his god.” The term “name” here has the idea of “authority.” To “walk in the name” of a god is to recognize the god’s authority as binding over one’s life.

tn Heb “walk in the name of.”

tn Heb “do not change.” This refers to God’s ongoing commitment to his covenant promises to Israel.
