105:3 Boast about his holy name!

Let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice!

105:4 Seek the Lord and the strength he gives!

Seek his presence continually!

Luke 24:5

John 20:13-15

Hebrews 1:14

1:14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those ¹¹  who will inherit salvation?

² tn Grk “they”; the referent (the women) has been specified in the translation for clarity (the same has been done in v. 8).

³ tn Or “They were extremely afraid.”

⁴ sn Bowed their faces to the ground. Such respect for angels is common: Dan 7:28; 10:9, 15.

⁵ sn By referring to Jesus as the living, the angels make it clear that he is alive. There should be no surprise.

⁶ tn The conjunction καί (kai, “and”) has not been translated here.

⁷ sn Woman was a polite form of address (see BDAG 208-9 s.v. γυνή 1), similar to “Madam” or “Ma’am” used in English in different regions. This occurs again in v. 15.

⁸ tn Grk “She said to them.”

⁹ tn The word “there” is not in the Greek text, but is implied. Direct objects were often omitted in Greek when clear from the context.
