Psalms 78:42-43

78:42 They did not remember what he had done,

how he delivered them from the enemy,

78:43 when he performed his awesome deeds in Egypt,

and his acts of judgment in the region of Zoan.

Psalms 81:7

81:7 In your distress you called out and I rescued you.

I answered you from a dark thundercloud.

I tested you at the waters of Meribah. (Selah)

Psalms 106:10

106:10 He delivered them from the power of the one who hated them,

and rescued them from the power of the enemy.

Psalms 107:2

107:2 Let those delivered by the Lord speak out, 10

sn The name Meribah means “strife.” Two separate but similar incidents at the place called Meribah are recorded in the Pentateuch (Exod 17:1-7; Num 20:1-13). In both cases the Israelites complained about lack of water and the Lord miraculously provided for them.
