Psalms 2:5

2:5 Then he angrily speaks to them

and terrifies them in his rage, saying,

Psalms 93:2

93:2 Your throne has been secure from ancient times;

you have always been king.

Psalms 119:92

119:92 If I had not found encouragement in your law,

I would have died in my sorrow.

sn And terrifies them in his rage. This line focuses on the effect that God’s angry response (see previous line) has on the rebellious kings.

tn The word “saying” is supplied in the translation for clarification to indicate that the speaker is the Lord (cf. RSV, NIV).

tn Heb “from antiquity [are] you.” As the context suggests, this refers specifically to God’s royal position, not his personal existence.

tn Heb “if your law had not been my delight.”

tn Or “my suffering.”
