Psalms 104:24

104:24 How many living things you have made, O Lord!

You have exhibited great skill in making all of them;

the earth is full of the living things you have made.

tn Heb “who [have] in their hands evil.”

tn Heb “and their right hand is full of a bribe.”

tn Heb “loves.” The verb “loves” is here metonymic; the Lord’s commitment to principles of equity and justice causes him to actively promote these principles as he governs the world.

tn Heb “fills the earth.”

tn Heb “like your name, O God, so [is] your praise to the ends of the earth.” Here “name” refers to God’s reputation and revealed character.

tn Heb “your right hand is full of justice.” The “right hand” suggests activity and power.

tn Heb “How many [are] your works, O Lord.” In this case the Lord’s “works” are the creatures he has made, as the preceding and following contexts make clear.

tn Heb “all of them with wisdom you have made.”
