62:8 Trust in him at all times, you people!
Pour out your hearts before him! 1
God is our shelter! (Selah)
A song of ascents. 3
125:1 Those who trust in the Lord are like Mount Zion;
it cannot be upended and will endure forever.
130:7 O Israel, hope in the Lord,
for the Lord exhibits loyal love, 4
and is more than willing to deliver. 5
146:5 How blessed is the one whose helper is the God of Jacob,
whose hope is in the Lord his God,
146:6 the one who made heaven and earth,
the sea, and all that is in them,
who remains forever faithful, 6
17:17 Do not cause me dismay! 7
You are my source of safety in times of trouble.
17:18 May those who persecute me be disgraced.
Do not let me be disgraced.
May they be dismayed.
Do not let me be dismayed.
Bring days of disaster on them.
Bring on them the destruction they deserve.” 8

4 tn Heb “for with the
5 tn Heb “and abundantly with him [is] redemption.”
6 tn Heb “the one who guards faithfulness forever.”

Compare also the usage of the related verb which occurs in the next verse (see also BDB 369 s.v. חָתַת Qal.2).
8 tn Or “complete destruction.” See the translator’s note on 16:18.
