tn Heb “sits” (i.e., enthroned, and therefore ruling – see v. 4). Another option is to translate as “lives” or “dwells.”

tn Heb “declare among the nations his deeds.”

tn Heb “but as for me, the nearness of God for me [is] good.”

tn The infinitive construct with -לְ (lÿ) is understood here as indicating an attendant circumstance. Another option is to take it as indicating purpose (“so that I might declare”) or result (“with the result that I declare”).

sn Psalm 105. The psalmist summons Israel to praise God because he delivered his people from Egypt in fulfillment of his covenantal promises to Abraham. A parallel version of vv. 1-15 appears in 1 Chr 16:8-22.

tn Heb “the works of the Lord.”

tn Or “in that day” (KJV).

tn Heb “call in his name,” i.e., “invoke his name.”

tn Heb “bring to remembrance that his name is exalted.” The Lord’s “name” stands here for his character and reputation.
