Romans 11:20

11:20 Granted! ¹  They were broken off because of their unbelief, but you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but fear!

Romans 12:16

12:16 Live in harmony with one another; do not be haughty but associate with the lowly. ²  Do not be conceited. ³ 

¹ tn Grk “well!”, an adverb used to affirm a statement. It means “very well,” “you are correct.”

² tn Or “but give yourselves to menial tasks.” The translation depends on whether one takes the adjective “lowly” as masculine or neuter.

³ tn Grk “Do not be wise in your thinking.”
