The Condemnation of the Jew

2:17 But if you call yourself a Jew and rely on the law ¹  and boast of your relationship to God ²  2:18 and know his will ³  and approve the superior things because you receive instruction from the law, ⁴ 

Romans 4:14

4:14 For if they become heirs by the law, faith is empty and the promise is nullified. ⁵ 

Romans 6:14-15

6:14 For sin will have no mastery over you, because you are not under law but under grace.

The Believer’s Enslavement to God’s Righteousness

6:15 What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Absolutely not!

Romans 7:12

7:12 So then, the law is holy, and the commandment is holy, righteous, and good.

Romans 7:16

7:16 But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good. ⁶ 

Romans 7:22

7:22 For I delight in the law of God in my inner being.

Romans 10:4

10:4 For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.

Romans 13:10

13:10 Love does no wrong to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
