14:1 King Hiram of Tyre sent messengers to David, along with cedar logs, stonemasons, and carpenters to build a palace for him.
14:2 David realized that the Lord had established him as king over Israel and that he had elevated his kingdom for the sake of his people Israel.

Manasseh’s Descendants
7:14 The sons of Manasseh:
Asriel, who was born to Manasseh’s Aramean concubine. She also gave birth to Makir the father of Gilead.
7:15 Now Makir married a wife from the Huppites and Shuppites. (His sister’s name was Maacah.)
Zelophehad was Manasseh’s second son; he had only daughters.
7:16 Maacah, Makir’s wife, gave birth to a son, whom she named Peresh. His brother was Sheresh, and his sons were Ulam and Rekem.
7:17 The son of Ulam:
Bedan.
These were the sons of Gilead, son of Makir, son of Manasseh.
