1 Corinthians 1:22-25
1:22 For Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks ask for wisdom,
1:23 but we preach about a crucified Christ,
a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles.
1:24 But to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God.
1:25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom,
and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength.
John 17:3

Philippians 3:8-10

3:9 and be found in him, not because I have my own righteousness derived from the law, but because I have the righteousness that comes by way of Christ’s faithfulness
– a righteousness from God that is in fact
based on Christ’s
faithfulness.
3:10 My aim is to know him,
to experience the power of his resurrection, to share in his sufferings,
and to be like him in his death,
