1 John 1:10--2:1

1:10 If we say we have not sinned, we make him a liar and his word is not in us. 2:1 (My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin.) But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous One,

1 John 2:21

2:21 I have not written to you that you do not know the truth, but that you do know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

1 John 2:23

2:23 Everyone who denies the Son does not have the Father either. The person who confesses the Son has the Father also.

1 John 3:15-16

3:15 Everyone who hates his fellow Christian is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life residing in him. 3:16 We have come to know love by this: that Jesus laid down his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.

1 John 3:20

3:20 that if our conscience condemns us, that God is greater than our conscience and knows all things.

1 John 4:4

4:4 You are from God, little children, and have conquered them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.

1 John 4:12-13

4:12 No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God resides in us, and his love is perfected in us. 4:13 By this we know that we reside in God and he in us: in that he has given us of his Spirit.

1 John 4:15

4:15 If anyone confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God resides in him and he in God.

1 John 5:2-3

5:2 By this we know that we love the children of God: whenever we love God and obey his commandments. 5:3 For this is the love of God: that we keep his commandments. And his commandments do not weigh us down,

1 John 5:14-15

5:14 And this is the confidence that we have before him: that whenever we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 5:15 And if we know that he hears us in regard to whatever we ask, then we know that we have the requests that we have asked from him.
