1 John 2:8
2:8 On the other hand, I am writing a new commandment to you which is true in him
and in you, because
the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.
1 John 2:11
2:11 But the one who hates his fellow Christian
is in the darkness, walks in the darkness, and does not know where he is going, because the darkness has blinded his eyes.
1 John 2:14
2:14 I have written to you, children, that
you have known the Father.
I have written to you, fathers, that
you have known him who has been from the beginning. I have written to you, young people, that
you are strong, and the word of God resides in you, and you have conquered the evil one.
1 John 2:16
2:16 because all that is in the world (the desire of the flesh and the desire of the eyes and the arrogance produced by material possessions)
is not from the Father, but is from the world.
1 John 2:24
2:24 As for you, what you have heard from the beginning must remain in you. If what you heard from the beginning remains in you, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father.
1 John 3:10
3:10 By this
the children of God and the children of the devil are revealed: Everyone who does not practice righteousness – the one who does not love his fellow Christian
– is not of God.
1 John 3:12
3:12 not like Cain
who was of the evil one and brutally
murdered his brother. And why did he murder him? Because his deeds were evil, but his brother’s were righteous.
1 John 3:17
3:17 But whoever has the world’s possessions
and sees his fellow Christian
in need and shuts off his compassion against him, how can the love of God
reside
in such a person?
1 John 3:23
3:23 Now
this is his commandment:
that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he gave
us the commandment.
1 John 4:7
God is Love
4:7 Dear friends, let us love one another, because love is from God, and everyone who loves has been fathered by God and knows God.
