17:13 Elijah said to her, “Don’t be afraid. Go and do as you planned.
But first make a small cake for me and bring it to me; then make something for yourself and your son.
17:14 For this is what the
Lord God of Israel says, ‘The jar of flour will not be empty and the jug of oil will not run out until the day the
Lord makes it rain on the surface of the ground.’”
17:15 She went and did as Elijah told her; there was always enough food for Elijah and for her and her family.
17:16 The jar of flour was never empty and the jug of oil never ran out, just as the
Lord had promised
through Elijah.

Haggai 2:19
2:19 The seed is still in the storehouse, isn’t it? And the vine, fig tree, pomegranate, and olive tree have not produced. Nevertheless, from today on I will bless you.’”

6:2 Thus whenever you do charitable giving,
do not blow a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in synagogues
and on streets so that people will praise them. I tell you the truth,
they have their reward.
Colossians 1:6-8
1:6 that has come to you. Just as in the entire world this gospel
is bearing fruit and growing, so it has also been bearing fruit and growing
among you from the first day you heard it and understood the grace of God in truth.
1:7 You learned the gospel
from Epaphras, our dear fellow slave
– a
faithful minister of Christ on our
behalf –
1:8 who also told us of your love in the Spirit.
