The Building of the Temple
6:1 In the four hundred and eightieth year after the Israelites left Egypt, in the fourth year of Solomon’s reign over Israel, during the month Ziv (the second month), he began building the Lord’s temple.
1 Kings 8:9
8:9 There was nothing in the ark except the two stone tablets Moses had placed there in Horeb.
It was there that
the
Lord made an agreement with the Israelites after he brought them out of the land of Egypt.

9:9 Others will then answer,
‘Because they abandoned the
Lord their God, who led their ancestors
out of Egypt. They embraced other gods whom they worshiped and served.
That is why the
Lord has brought all this disaster down on them.’”
