1 Kings 8:29-30
8:29 Night and day may you watch over this temple, the place where you promised you would live.
May you answer your servant’s prayer for this place.
8:30 Respond to the request of your servant and your people Israel for this place.
Hear from inside your heavenly dwelling place
and respond favorably.
1 Kings 8:44
8:44 “When you direct your people to march out and fight their enemies, and they direct their prayers to the Lord toward his chosen city and this temple I built for your honor,
1 Kings 11:32
11:32 He will retain one tribe, for my servant David’s sake and for the sake of Jerusalem, the city I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel.
Deuteronomy 12:5-7
12:5 But you must seek only the place he
chooses from all your tribes to establish his name as his place of residence,
and you must go there.
12:6 And there you must take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the personal offerings you have prepared,
your votive offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks.
12:7 Both you and your families
must feast there before the
Lord your God and rejoice in all the output of your labor with which he
has blessed you.
Deuteronomy 12:14
12:14 for you may do so
only in the place the
Lord chooses in one of your tribal areas – there you may do everything I am commanding you.
Deuteronomy 16:2
16:2 You must sacrifice the Passover animal
(from the flock or the herd) to the
Lord your God in the place where he
chooses to locate his name.

16:6 but you must sacrifice it
