1 Samuel 4:13-14
4:13 When he arrived in Shiloh, Eli was sitting in his chair watching by the side of
the road, for he was very worried
about the ark of God. As the man entered the city to give his report,
the whole city cried out.
4:14 When Eli heard the outcry, he said, “What is this commotion?” The man quickly came and told Eli.

11:4 When the messengers went to Gibeah (where Saul lived) and informed the people of these matters, all the people wept loudly.
Isaiah 22:4
22:4 So I say:
“Don’t look at me!
I am weeping bitterly.

37:1 When King Hezekiah heard this,
he tore his clothes, put on sackcloth, and went to the
Lord’s temple.
37:2 Eliakim the palace supervisor, Shebna the scribe, and the leading priests,
clothed in sackcloth, sent this message to the prophet Isaiah son of Amoz:
37:3 “This is what Hezekiah says:
‘This is a day of distress, insults,
and humiliation,
as when a baby is ready to leave the birth canal, but the mother lacks the strength to push it through.
