1:10 Now give me wisdom and discernment so
I can effectively lead this nation.
Otherwise
no one is able
to make judicial decisions for

Asa also oppressed some of the people at that time.

the temple of Baal. They smashed its altars and idols.
They killed Mattan the priest of Baal in front of the altars.

Lord approved, just as his father Uzziah had done.

Lord our God is with us to help us and fight our battles!” The army
was encouraged by the words of King Hezekiah of Judah.
2 Chronicles 35:12-13
35:12 They reserved the burnt offerings and the cattle for the family divisions of the people to present to the
Lord, as prescribed in the scroll of Moses.
35:13 They cooked the Passover sacrifices over the open fire as prescribed and cooked the consecrated offerings in pots, kettles, and pans. They quickly served them to all the people.
