2 Chronicles 12:6-7
12:6 The leaders of Israel and the king humbled themselves and said, “The
Lord is just.”
12:7 When the
Lord saw that they humbled themselves, he gave this message to Shemaiah:
“They have humbled themselves, so I will not destroy them. I will deliver them soon.
My anger will not be unleashed against
Jerusalem through
Shishak.
2 Chronicles 33:12-13
33:12 In his pain
Manasseh
asked the
Lord his God for mercy
and truly
humbled himself before the God of his ancestors.
33:13 When he prayed to the
Lord,
the
Lord responded to him
and answered favorably
his cry for mercy. The
Lord brought him back to Jerusalem to his kingdom. Then Manasseh realized that the
Lord is the true God.
Isaiah 57:15
57:15 For this is what the high and exalted one says,
the one who rules forever, whose name is holy:
“I dwell in an exalted and holy place,
but also with the discouraged and humiliated,
in order to cheer up the humiliated
and to encourage the discouraged.
