2 Chronicles 29:22-24
29:22 They slaughtered the bulls, and the priests took the blood and splashed it on the altar. Then they slaughtered the rams and splashed the blood on the altar; next they slaughtered the lambs and splashed the blood on the altar.
29:23 Finally they brought the goats for the sin offering before the king and the assembly, and they placed their hands on them.
29:24 Then the priests slaughtered them. They offered their blood as a sin offering on the altar to make atonement for all Israel, because the king had decreed that the burnt sacrifice and sin offering were for all Israel.
2 Chronicles 30:16
30:16 They stood at their posts according to the regulations outlined in the law of Moses, the man of God. The priests were splashing the blood as the Levites handed it to them.
Leviticus 1:5-6
1:5 Then the one presenting the offering must slaughter the bull before the Lord, and the sons of Aaron, the priests, must present the blood and splash the blood against the sides of the altar which is at the entrance of the Meeting Tent.
1:6 Next, the one presenting the offering must skin the burnt offering and cut it into parts,
Numbers 18:3
18:3 They must be responsible to care for you and to care for the entire tabernacle. However, they must not come near the furnishings of the sanctuary and the altar, or both they and you will die.
Numbers 18:7
18:7 But you and your sons with you are responsible for your priestly duties, for everything at the altar and within the curtain. And you must serve. I give you the priesthood as a gift for service; but the unauthorized person who approaches must be put to death.”
Hebrews 9:21-22
9:21 And both the tabernacle and all the utensils of worship he likewise sprinkled with blood.
9:22 Indeed according to the law almost everything was purified with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness.
