2 Chronicles 7:20
7:20 then I will remove you
from my land I have given you,
I will abandon this temple I have consecrated with my presence,
and I will make you
an object of mockery and ridicule
among all the nations.
2 Chronicles 7:22
7:22 Others will then answer,
‘Because they abandoned the
Lord God of their ancestors,
who led them out of Egypt. They embraced other gods whom they worshiped and served.
That is why he brought all this disaster down on them.’”

28:9 Oded, a prophet of the Lord, was there. He went to meet the army as they arrived in Samaria and said to them: “Look, because the Lord God of your ancestors was angry with Judah he handed them over to you. You have killed them so mercilessly that God has taken notice.

and broke the incense altars that were above them. He smashed the Asherah poles, idols and images, crushed them up and sprinkled the dust over the tombs of those who had sacrificed to them.
