1:14 David replied to him, “How is it that you were not afraid to reach out your hand to destroy the
Lord’s anointed?”
2 Samuel 3:34
3:34 Your hands were not bound,
and your feet were not put into irons.
You fell the way one falls before criminals.”
All the people wept over him again.
2 Samuel 24:16-17
24:16 When the angel
extended his hand to destroy Jerusalem, the
Lord relented from his judgment.
He told the angel who was killing the people, “That’s enough! Stop now!”
