2 Samuel 5:2
5:2 In the past, when Saul was our king, you were the real leader in Israel.
The
Lord said to you, ‘You will shepherd my people Israel; you will rule over Israel.’”
2 Samuel 7:7
7:7 Wherever I moved among all the Israelites, I did not say
to any of the leaders
whom I appointed to care for
my people Israel, “Why have you not built me a house made from cedar?”’
2 Samuel 21:2
21:2 So the king summoned the Gibeonites and spoke with them. (Now the Gibeonites were not descendants of Israel; they were a remnant of the Amorites. The Israelites had made a promise to them, but Saul tried to kill them because of his zeal for the people of Israel and Judah.)
