Acts 15:1
The Jerusalem Council
15:1 Now some men came down from Judea and began to teach the brothers, “Unless you are circumcised according to the custom of Moses, you cannot be saved.”
Acts 15:9-10
15:9 and he made no distinction
between them and us, cleansing
their hearts by faith.
15:10 So now why are you putting God to the test
by placing on the neck of the disciples a yoke
that neither our ancestors
nor we have been able to bear?
Galatians 2:3-4
2:3 Yet
not even Titus, who was with me, was compelled to be circumcised, although he was a Greek.
2:4 Now this matter arose
because of the false brothers with false pretenses
who slipped in unnoticed to spy on
our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus, to make us slaves.
Galatians 6:12-13
6:12 Those who want to make a good showing in external matters are trying to force you to be circumcised. They do so only to avoid being persecuted for the cross of Christ.
6:13 For those who are circumcised do not obey the law themselves, but they want you to be circumcised so that they can boast about your flesh.
