Acts 3:10
3:10 and they recognized him as the man who used to sit and ask for donations
at the Beautiful Gate of the temple, and they were filled with astonishment and amazement
at what had happened to him.
Matthew 13:54-55
13:54 Then
he came to his hometown
and began to teach the people
in their synagogue.
They
were astonished and said, “Where did this man get such wisdom and miraculous powers?
13:55 Isn’t this the carpenter’s son? Isn’t his mother named Mary?
And aren’t his brothers James, Joseph, Simon, and Judas?
Mark 5:15-20
5:15 They came to Jesus and saw the demon-possessed man sitting there, clothed and in his right mind – the one who had the “Legion” – and they were afraid.
5:16 Those who had seen what had happened to the demon-possessed man reported it, and they also told about the pigs.
5:17 Then
they asked Jesus
to leave their region.
5:18 As he was getting into the boat the man who had been demon-possessed asked if he could go
with him.
5:19 But
Jesus
did not permit him to do so. Instead, he said to him, “Go to your home and to your people and tell them what the Lord has done for you,
that he had mercy on you.”
5:20 So
he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis
what Jesus had done for him,
and all were amazed.
John 9:8-9
9:8 Then the neighbors and the people who had seen him previously as a beggar began saying, “Is this not the man who used to sit and beg?”
9:9 Some people said, “This is the man!” while others said, “No, but he looks like him.” The man himself kept insisting, “I am the one!”
