Deuteronomy 13:6-9
False Prophets in the Family
13:6 Suppose your own full brother, your son, your daughter, your beloved wife, or your closest friend should seduce you secretly and encourage you to go and serve other gods that neither you nor your ancestors have previously known,
13:7 the gods of the surrounding people (whether near you or far from you, from one end of the earth to the other).
13:8 You must not give in to him or even listen to him; do not feel sympathy for him or spare him or cover up for him.
13:9 Instead, you must kill him without fail! Your own hand must be the first to strike him, and then the hands of the whole community.
Deuteronomy 13:13
13:13 some evil people
have departed from among you to entice the inhabitants of their cities,
saying, “Let’s go and serve other gods” (whom you have not known before).
Deuteronomy 13:15
13:15 you must by all means
slaughter the inhabitants of that city with the sword; annihilate
with the sword everyone in it, as well as the livestock.
Deuteronomy 21:23
21:23 his body must not remain all night on the tree; instead you must make certain you bury
him that same day, for the one who is left exposed
on a tree is cursed by God.
You must not defile your land which the
Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.
Deuteronomy 21:2
21:2 your elders and judges must go out and measure how far it is to the cities in the vicinity of the corpse.
Deuteronomy 21:6
21:6 and all the elders of that city nearest the corpse
must wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.
Deuteronomy 21:9
21:9 In this manner you will purge out the guilt of innocent blood from among you, for you must do what is right before
the
Lord.
Esther 7:9-10
7:9 Harbona,
one of the king’s eunuchs, said, “Indeed, there is the gallows that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke out in the king’s behalf. It stands near Haman’s home and is seventy-five feet
high.”
The king said, “Hang him on it!”
7:10 So they hanged Haman on the very gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. The king’s rage then abated.
