Deuteronomy 3:20
3:20 You must fight
until the
Lord gives your countrymen victory
as he did you and they take possession of the land that the
Lord your God is giving them on the other side of the Jordan River. Then each of you may return to his own territory that I have given you.”
Deuteronomy 12:10
12:10 When you do go across the Jordan River
and settle in the land he
is granting you as an inheritance and you find relief from all the enemies who surround you, you will live in safety.
Deuteronomy 12:12
12:12 You shall rejoice in the presence of the
Lord your God, along with your sons, daughters, male and female servants, and the Levites in your villages
(since they have no allotment or inheritance with you).
Joshua 21:44
21:44 The
Lord made them secure,
in fulfillment of all he had solemnly promised their ancestors.
None of their enemies could resist them.
Joshua 21:2
21:2 in Shiloh in the land of Canaan and said, “The
Lord told Moses to assign us cities in which to live along with the grazing areas for our cattle.”
Joshua 14:6
14:6 The men of Judah approached Joshua in Gilgal, and Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, “You know what the Lord said about you and me to Moses, the man of God, at Kadesh Barnea.
Hebrews 4:3-9
4:3 For we who have believed enter that rest, as he has said, “
As I swore in my anger, ‘
They will never enter my rest!’”
And yet God’s works
were accomplished from the foundation of the world.
4:4 For he has spoken somewhere about the seventh day in this way: “
And God rested on the seventh day from all his works,”
4:5 but to repeat the text cited earlier:
“
They will never enter my rest!”
4:6 Therefore it remains for some to enter it, yet those to whom it was previously proclaimed did not enter because of disobedience.
4:7 So God
again ordains a certain day, “Today,” speaking through David
after so long a time, as in the words quoted before,
“
O, that today you would listen as he speaks! Do not harden your hearts.”
4:8 For if Joshua had given them rest, God
would not have spoken afterward about another day.
4:9 Consequently a Sabbath rest remains for the people of God.
