Deuteronomy 31:16
31:16 Then the
Lord said to Moses, “You are about to die,
and then these people will begin to prostitute themselves with the foreign gods of the land into which they
are going. They
will reject
me and break my covenant that I have made with them.
Deuteronomy 31:20
31:20 For after I have brought them
to the land I promised to their
ancestors – one flowing with milk and honey – and they
eat their fill
and become fat, then they
will turn to other gods and worship them; they will reject me and break my covenant.
Jude 1:10-12
1:10 But these men do not understand the things they slander, and they are being destroyed by the very things that, like irrational animals, they instinctively comprehend.
1:11 Woe to them! For they have traveled down Cain’s path,
and because of greed
have abandoned themselves
to
Balaam’s error; hence,
they will certainly perish
in Korah’s rebellion.
1:12 These men are
dangerous reefs
at your love feasts,
feasting without reverence,
feeding only themselves.
They are
waterless
clouds, carried along by the winds; autumn trees without fruit
– twice dead,
uprooted;
Jude 1:2
1:2 May mercy, peace, and love be lavished on you!
Jude 1:14-15
1:14 Now Enoch, the seventh in descent beginning with Adam, even prophesied of them, saying, “Look! The Lord is coming with thousands and thousands of his holy ones,
1:15 to execute judgment on all, and to convict every person of all their thoroughly ungodly deeds that they have committed, and of all the harsh words that ungodly sinners have spoken against him.”
Nehemiah 9:26-29
9:26 “Nonetheless they grew disobedient and rebelled against you; they disregarded your law. They killed your prophets who had solemnly admonished them in order to cause them to return to you. They committed atrocious blasphemies.
9:27 Therefore you delivered them into the hand of their adversaries, who oppressed them. But in the time of their distress they called to you, and you heard from heaven. In your abundant compassion you provided them with deliverers to rescue them from their adversaries.
9:28 “Then, when they were at rest again, they went back to doing evil before you. Then you abandoned them to their enemies, and they gained dominion over them. When they again cried out to you, in your compassion you heard from heaven and rescued them time and again.
9:29 And you solemnly admonished them in order to return them to your law, but they behaved presumptuously and did not obey your commandments. They sinned against your ordinances – those by which an individual, if he obeys them, will live. They boldly turned from you; they rebelled and did not obey.
Jeremiah 31:32
31:32 It will not be like the old
covenant that I made with their ancestors
when I delivered them
from Egypt. For they violated that covenant, even though I was like a faithful husband to them,”
says the
Lord.
