1:42 But the
Lord told me: “Tell them this: ‘Do not go up and fight, because I will not be with you and you will be defeated by your enemies.’”

Lord, that is, before the priests and judges

your people Israel whom you redeemed, O
Lord, and do not hold them accountable for the bloodshed of an innocent person.”
Then atonement will be made for the bloodshed.

23:3 An Ammonite or Moabite may not enter the assembly of the Lord; to the tenth generation none of their descendants shall ever do so,

Lord will do to them just what he did to Sihon and Og, the Amorite kings, and to their land, which he destroyed.
