Deuteronomy 33:9-10
33:9 He said to his father and mother, “I have not seen him,”
and he did not acknowledge his own brothers
or know his own children,
for they kept your word,
and guarded your covenant.
33:10 They will teach Jacob your ordinances
and Israel your law;
they will offer incense as a pleasant odor,
and a whole offering on your altar.
Joshua 8:33
8:33 All the people,
rulers,
leaders, and judges were standing on either side of the ark, in front of the Levitical priests who carried the ark of the covenant of the
Lord. Both resident foreigners and native Israelites were there.
Half the people stood in front of Mount Gerizim and the other half in front of Mount Ebal, as Moses the
Lord’s servant had previously instructed to them to do for the formal blessing ceremony.
Nehemiah 8:7-8
8:7 Jeshua, Bani, Sherebiah, Jamin, Akkub, Shabbethai, Hodiah, Maaseiah, Kelita, Azariah, Jozabad, Hanan, and Pelaiah – all of whom were Levites – were teaching the people the law, as the people remained standing.
8:8 They read from the book of God’s law, explaining it and imparting insight. Thus the people gained understanding from what was read.
Daniel 9:11
9:11 “All Israel has broken your law and turned away by not obeying you. Therefore you have poured out on us the judgment solemnly threatened in the law of Moses the servant of God, for we have sinned against you.
Malachi 2:7-9
2:7 For the lips of a priest should preserve knowledge of sacred things, and people should seek instruction from him
because he is the messenger of the
Lord who rules over all.
2:8 You, however, have turned from the way. You have caused many to violate the law;
you have corrupted the covenant with Levi,”
says the
Lord who rules over all.
2:9 “Therefore, I have caused you to be ignored and belittled before all people to the extent to which you are not following after me and are showing partiality in your
instruction.”
