Deuteronomy 6:10-11
Exhortation to Worship the Lord Exclusively
6:10 Then when the Lord your God brings you to the land he promised your ancestors Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give you – a land with large, fine cities you did not build,
6:11 houses filled with choice things you did not accumulate, hewn out cisterns you did not dig, and vineyards and olive groves you did not plant – and you eat your fill,
Deuteronomy 11:10-12
11:10 For the land where you are headed
is not like the land of Egypt from which you came, a land where you planted seed and which you irrigated by hand
like a vegetable garden.
11:11 Instead, the land you are crossing the Jordan to occupy
is one of hills and valleys, a land that drinks in water from the rains,
11:12 a land the
Lord your God looks after.
He is constantly attentive to it
from the beginning to the end of the year.
Exodus 3:8
3:8 I have come down
to deliver them
from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up from that land to a land that is both good and spacious,
to a land flowing with milk and honey,
to the region of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites.
Nehemiah 9:24-25
9:24 Their descendants
entered and possessed the land. You subdued before them the Canaanites who were the inhabitants of the land. You delivered them into their hand, together with their kings and the peoples of the land, to deal with as they pleased.
9:25 They captured fortified cities and fertile land. They took possession of houses full of all sorts of good things – wells previously dug, vineyards, olive trees, and fruit trees in abundance. They ate until they were full
and grew fat. They enjoyed to the full your great goodness.
Psalms 65:9-13
65:9 You visit the earth and give it rain;
you make it rich and fertile
with overflowing streams full of water.
You provide grain for them,
for you prepare the earth to yield its crops.
65:10 You saturate its furrows,
and soak its plowed ground.
With rain showers you soften its soil,
and make its crops grow.
65:11 You crown the year with your good blessings,
and you leave abundance in your wake.
65:12 The pastures in the wilderness glisten with moisture,
and the hills are clothed with joy.
65:13 The meadows are clothed with sheep,
and the valleys are covered with grain.
They shout joyfully, yes, they sing.
Ezekiel 20:6
20:6 On that day I swore
to bring them out of the land of Egypt to a land which I had picked out
for them, a land flowing with milk and honey,
the most beautiful of all lands.
