The Eighth Blow: Locusts
10:1 The Lord said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants, in order to display these signs of mine before him,
10:2 and in order that in the hearing of your son and your grandson you may tell how I made fools of the Egyptians and about my signs that I displayed among them, so that you may know that I am the Lord.”
Exodus 14:17-18
14:17 And as for me, I am going to harden
the hearts of the Egyptians so that
they will come after them, that I may be honored
because
of Pharaoh and his army and his chariots and his horsemen.
14:18 And the Egyptians will know
that I am the
Lord when I have gained my honor
because of Pharaoh, his chariots, and his horsemen.”
Exodus 15:14-15
15:14 The nations will hear and tremble;
anguish will seize the inhabitants of Philistia.
15:15 Then the chiefs of Edom will be terrified,
trembling will seize the leaders of Moab,
and the inhabitants of Canaan will shake.
Exodus 18:10-11
18:10 Jethro said, “Blessed

Lord who has delivered you from the hand of Egypt, and from the hand of Pharaoh, who has delivered the people from the Egyptians’ control!
18:11 Now I know that the
Lord is greater than all the gods, for in the thing in which they dealt proudly against them he has destroyed them.”
