Exodus 4:10-12
4:10 Then Moses said to the Lord, “O my Lord, I am not an eloquent man, neither in the past nor since you have spoken to your servant, for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue.”
4:11 The Lord said to him, “Who gave a mouth to man, or who makes a person mute or deaf or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the Lord?
4:12 So now go, and I will be with your mouth and will teach you what you must say.”
Jeremiah 1:6-9
1:6 I answered, “Oh, Lord God, I really do not know how to speak well enough for that, for I am too young.”
1:7 The Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ But go to whomever I send you and say whatever I tell you.
1:8 Do not be afraid of those to whom I send you, for I will be with you to protect you,” says the Lord.
1:9 Then the Lord reached out his hand and touched my mouth and said to me, “I will most assuredly give you the words you are to speak for me.
Daniel 3:16-18
3:16 Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego replied to King Nebuchadnezzar,
“We do not need to give you a reply
concerning this.
3:17 If
our God whom we are serving exists,
he is able to rescue us from the furnace of blazing fire, and he will rescue us, O king, from your power as well.
3:18 But if not, let it be known to you, O king, that we don’t serve your gods, and we will not pay homage to the golden statue that you have erected.”
Matthew 10:19-20
10:19 Whenever
they hand you over for trial, do not worry about how to speak or what to say,
for what you should say will be given to you at that time.
10:20 For it is not you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Luke 12:11-12
12:11 But when they bring you before the synagogues,
the
rulers, and the authorities, do not worry about how you should make your defense
or what you should say,
12:12 for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment
what you must say.”
Luke 21:14-15
21:14 Therefore be resolved
not to rehearse
ahead of time how to make your defense.
21:15 For I will give you the words
along with the wisdom
that none of your adversaries will be able to withstand or contradict.

2:4 All
of them were filled with the Holy Spirit, and they began to speak in other languages
as the Spirit enabled them.
Acts 4:8-22
4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit,
replied,
“Rulers of the people and elders,
4:9 if
we are being examined
today for a good deed
done to a sick man – by what means this man was healed
–
4:10 let it be known to all of you and to all the people of Israel that by the name of Jesus Christ
the Nazarene whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, this man stands before you healthy.
4:11 This Jesus
is
the stone that was rejected by you,
the builders, that has become the cornerstone.
4:12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among people
by which we must
be saved.”
4:13 When they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and discovered that they were uneducated and ordinary men, they were amazed and recognized these men had been with Jesus.
4:14 And because they saw the man who had been healed standing with them, they had nothing to say against this.
4:15 But when they had ordered them to go outside the council, they began to confer with one another,
4:16 saying, “What should we do with these men? For it is plain to all who live in Jerusalem that a notable miraculous sign has come about through them, and we cannot deny it.
4:17 But to keep this matter from spreading any further among the people, let us warn them to speak no more to anyone in this name.”
4:18 And they called them in and ordered them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.
4:19 But Peter and John replied, “Whether it is right before God to obey you rather than God, you decide,
4:20 for it is impossible for us not to speak about what we have seen and heard.”
4:21 After threatening them further, they released them, for they could not find how to punish them on account of the people, because they were all praising God for what had happened.
4:22 For the man, on whom this miraculous sign of healing had been performed, was over forty years old.
Acts 4:31
4:31 When
they had prayed, the place where they were assembled together was shaken,
and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak
the word of God
courageously.

they were not able to resist
the wisdom and the Spirit with which he spoke.

who were sitting in the council
looked intently at Stephen
and saw his face was like the face of an angel.
Acts 7:55
7:55 But Stephen,
full
of the Holy Spirit, looked intently
toward heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing
at the right hand of God.
