Exodus 5:22-23
The Assurance of Deliverance
5:22 Moses returned to the Lord, and said, “Lord, why have you caused trouble for this people? Why did you ever send me?
5:23 From the time I went to speak to Pharaoh in your name, he has caused trouble for this people, and you have certainly not rescued them!”
Numbers 14:3
14:3 Why has the
Lord brought us into this land only to be killed by the sword, that our wives and our children should become plunder? Wouldn’t it be better for us to return to Egypt?”
Numbers 14:2
14:2 And all the Israelites murmured
against Moses and Aaron, and the whole congregation said to them, “If only we had died
in the land of Egypt, or if only we had perished
in this wilderness!
Numbers 3:10
3:10 So you are to appoint Aaron and his sons, and they will be responsible for their priesthood;
but the unauthorized person
who comes near must be put to death.”

Jeremiah 12:1-2
12:1 Lord, you have always been fair
whenever I have complained to you.
However, I would like to speak with you about the disposition of justice.
Why are wicked people successful?
Why do all dishonest people have such easy lives?
12:2 You plant them like trees and they put down their roots.
They grow prosperous and are very fruitful.
They always talk about you,
but they really care nothing about you.
Hebrews 12:5
12:5 And have you forgotten the exhortation addressed to you as sons?
“My son, do not scorn the Lord’s discipline
or give up when he corrects you.
