Exodus 2:23
The Call of the Deliverer
2:23 During that long period of time the king of Egypt died, and the Israelites groaned because of the slave labor. They cried out, and their desperate cry because of their slave labor went up to God.
Exodus 3:1
3:1 Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.
Exodus 3:12-13
3:12 He replied,
“Surely I will be with you,
and this will be the sign
to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve
God on this mountain.”
3:13 Moses said to God, “If I go to the Israelites and tell them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they ask me, ‘What is his name?’ – what should I say to them?”
Exodus 17:9
17:9 So Moses said to Joshua, “Choose some of our
men and go out, fight against Amalek. Tomorrow I will stand on top of the hill with the staff of God in my hand.”
Exodus 18:12
18:12 Then Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, brought
a burnt offering and sacrifices for God,
and Aaron and all the elders of Israel came to eat food
with the father-in-law of Moses before God.
Exodus 20:20
20:20 Moses said to the people, “Do not fear, for God has come to test you,
that the fear of him
may be before you so that you do not
sin.”
