Exodus 3:1
3:1 Now Moses was shepherding the flock of his father-in-law Jethro, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to the mountain of God, to Horeb.
Exodus 3:12
3:12 He replied,
“Surely I will be with you,
and this will be the sign
to you that I have sent you: When you bring the people out of Egypt, you and they will serve
God on this mountain.”
Exodus 19:11
19:11 and be ready for the third day, for on the third day the
Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.
Exodus 19:20
19:20 The Lord came down on Mount Sinai, on the top of the mountain, and the Lord summoned Moses to the top of the mountain, and Moses went up.
Exodus 24:16-17
24:16 The glory of the
Lord resided
on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days.
On the seventh day he called to Moses from within the cloud.
24:17 Now the appearance of the glory of the
Lord was like a devouring fire on the top of the mountain in plain view
of the people.
Exodus 24:1
The Lord Ratifies the Covenant
24:1 But to Moses the Lord said, “Come up to the Lord, you and Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and worship from a distance.
Exodus 19:8
19:8 and all the people answered together, “All that the
Lord has commanded we will do!”
So Moses brought the words of the people back to the
Lord.
