Exodus 32:8
32:8 They have quickly turned aside
from the way that I commanded them – they have made for themselves a molten calf and have bowed down to it and sacrificed to it and said, ‘These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up from the land of Egypt.’”
Leviticus 19:4
19:4 Do not turn to idols,

Isaiah 46:6-7
46:6 Those who empty out gold from a purse
and weigh out silver on the scale
hire a metalsmith, who makes it into a god.
They then bow down and worship it.
46:7 They put it on their shoulder and carry it;
they put it in its place and it just stands there;
it does not move from its place.
Even when someone cries out to it, it does not reply;
it does not deliver him from his distress.
Jeremiah 10:14
10:14 All these idolaters will prove to be stupid and ignorant.
Every goldsmith will be disgraced by the idol he made.
For the image he forges is merely a sham.
There is no breath in any of those idols.
Acts 17:29
17:29 So since we are God’s offspring, we should not think the deity
is like gold or silver or stone, an image
made by human
skill
and imagination.
Acts 19:26
19:26 And you see and hear that this Paul has persuaded
and turned away
a large crowd,
not only in Ephesus
but in practically all of the province of Asia,
by saying
that gods made by hands are not gods at all.
